General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 25th May 2018
DIYMoney (DM) has appointed Joe Jackson as its Data Protection Officer, who outlines the company’s privacy policy and commitment to the GDPR legislation as follows:-
- (DM) is aware of its obligations and responsibilities under the new regulations (GDPR)
- (DM) securely holds and stores personal data, freely provided by its clients themselves, solely for the lawful purpose of exercising the supply of training, development and coaching services by the company to the clients
- (DM) does not, and will not in future, disclose, share, or sell any data to any other party for any other purpose
- (DM)’s clients have the right to access their data at any time, to confirm that the information held by (DM) is adequate, relevant, accurate, and limited to what is necessary for the conduct of the service provided
- (DM) is obliged by HMRC to keep business records for tax purposes for up to seven years after the end of the company’s last financial year, after which records will be destroyed
- (DM) will, as part of its preparation of Annual Financial Year End Statements, review the client data held on its database, to confirm that the information held remains relevant and accurate for normal business purposes
- (DM) will respect the wish of any clients who no longer wish to be contacted by the company, and remove their details from the company’s database, subject only to any obligation to HMRC
- (DM) is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as an organisation which processes personal data

This policy, together with any other documents referred to within, sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data that we collect from you or that you provide to us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
We collect and process the following data from visitors to our website www.diymoney.co.uk
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site. This includes information provided at the time of subscribing to our services or requesting further services or information. If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence.

How long do we hold your data?
DIYMoney retains your information while you/your company remains an active client, unless you ask us to delete your information. If you stop being an active client we will retain your information unless you request that your details be deleted; however we will only contact you if we believe the information we intend to send to you could be of ‘legitimate interest’ to you or your company.
If you have signed up to receive our newsletter/requested information from us, we will retain your information until you request it to be deleted. Subject to the exceptions described below, DIYMoney deletes or anonymizes your information upon request.
DIYMoney may retain information after account deletion if there is an unresolved issue relating to your account, such as an outstanding invoice on your account.

As required by the UK interpretation of EU law on cookies, DIYMoney have reviewed the cookies used by our service and give advice so that you can manage the use of them.
